The Salafi movement, also called Salafist movement, Salafiya, and Salafism, is a reform[1] branch[2][3] or revivalist[4] movement within Sunni Islam[5] that developed in Egypt in the late 19th century as a response to Western European imperialism.[4][6][7][8][9] It had roots in the 18th-century Wahhabi movement that originated in the Najd region of modern-day Saudi Arabia.[10] It advocated a return to the traditions of the salaf, the first three generations of Muslims, which they preached as the unadulterated, pure form of Islam. Those generations included the Islamic prophet Muhammad and his companions (the Sahabah), their successors (the Tabi‘un), and the successors of the successors (the Taba Tabi‘in).

That's all u need to know, if your smart man you will see why, if you are not, u will need an explanation. Muslims must leave this current islam in the world, they have the wrong idealogy going backwards in idealogy not forward and adopting the sciences of the world today. Everyone thinks you lose the world by war, resource theft. Yes this happens after u adopt a 'backward' idealogy, backward meaning your reverting the clock back. If I reverted the clock back to democracy in greece and said 'we must keep it pure and no bid'ah' like the salafis, of course democracy would be no different to @Cognitivedissonance idealogy. He is khawarij, it's not about religion. We all have the quran. The western world lets you choose your idealogy but don't cry they won and stole your gold and then kept it, it was you who didn't update yourself and your idealogy to match his. Now what's sad is they even named your countries for you, you didn't have a say even in your own name. Infact they did the same for all african countries because they defeated you. Ask yourself why did Africans not even have a name for their continent? because there was no united civilization here, we were all separate fiefdoms. How sad when Jubaland is named by 'european' yet Teeri says he is anti colonialist.
