- The official data doesnt register Kenyans, ugandans, and other africans that claim to be somali to get asylum. My neighbour e.g is from Kenya and his wife is ugandian, but on paper they are somali.

- Djiboutians plus other groups from official republics, and self-proclaimed republics will always go under the umberella «somali immigrant» even tho they are not.

The biggest diaspora is in Kenya and Ethiopia by far. The west is just a piss in the ocean. They’re called qurbo nacas, so near theyr motherland, but so far away from success.

Another thing Id like to shed light on is, that if a kenyan or ugandian do crime in theyr respective qurbo, they go under somali, which is a huge blow for us.

The real number will at best just be estimates, because of all the factors mention above, and thats not including the ones who stay illegal, or waiting for asylum, or got there case dismissed.

Somalia is not a shithole. There was an absence of centralized authority for over 3 decades, but by and large the Somali people have done a lot for themselves. There are major infrastructure projects such Garacad port, roads being repaired and new ones being built; technical, business, & nursing schools are popping up everywhere; new airports are being built everywhere; and most importantly farming is popping up in semi-arid regions where people did not use to farm. You can see sand dams being erected in dry river beds all of over country.

So the truth is Somalia is not a shithole like many people make it out to be. Good things are happening in the country, but of course we need a functioning government, the security situation improving, and getting the foreign interference under control.
