Verse 49:13

This verse further leads delusional Somalis to believe that it is okay to divide yourself by clans, and there is no verse that says otherwise except against nationalism, but Somalia is a nation.

Wathila ibn Al-Asqa’ reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, is it part of tribalism that a man loves his people?” The Prophet said:

لَا وَلَكِنْ مِنَ الْعَصَبِيَّةِ أَنْ يُعِينَ الرَّجُلُ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى الظُّلْمِ
No, rather it is tribalism that he supports his people in wrongdoing.

Jubair ibn Mut’im, RadhiAllahu Anhu, reported: The Messenger of Allah, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ دَعَا إِلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ وَلَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ قَاتَلَ عَلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ وَلَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ
He is not one of us who calls to tribalism. He is not one of us who fights for the sake of tribalism. He is not one of us who dies following the way of tribalism.

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, RadhiAllahu Anhu, reported: The Messenger of Allah, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

مَنْ أَعَانَ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى ظُلْمٍ فَهُوَ كَالْبَعِيرِ الْمُتَرَدِّي يَنْزِعُ بِذَنَبِهِ
Whoever supports his people in oppression is like a dead camel that falls into a well and is pulled out by its tail.

In another narration, the Prophet, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

وَمَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعِينُ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْحَقِّ كَمَثَلِ بَعِيرٍ رُدِّيَ فِي بِئْرٍ فَهُوَ يَنْزِعُ مِنْهَا بِذَنَبِهِ
The parable of the one who supports his people upon other than the truth is that of a dead camel which falls into a well and is pulled out by its tail.

Aisha, RadhiAllahu Anha, reported: The Messenger of Allah, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ النَّاسِ فِرْيَةً لَرَجُلٌ هَاجَى رَجُلًا فَهَجَا الْقَبِيلَةَ بِأَسْرِهَا
Verily, the greatest liar among people is a man who insults another man by disparaging the entire tribe.

In another narration, the Prophet, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ النَّاسِ جُرْمًا إِنْسَانٌ شَاعِرٌ يَهْجُو الْقَبِيلَةَ مِنْ أَسْرِهَا
Verily, the greatest criminal among people is a poet who disparages the entire tribe.

They are divided into ethnic groups coupled with being low iQ. That’s why. I wouldn’t call it qabyalad secondly, it is ethnonationalism. If you want to say the seperate somali clan families are indeed ethnicities and it is as comparable with the situation in Somalia, that’s fine by me. It is very much like that.

قال الله عزوجل انا هذه امتكم امة واحدة و انا ربكم فعبدون

Allah SWT says verily this nation of yours is one nation, and I am your lord so worship me. Don’t blame the Qur’an for the cultural failure of Somali people all over Somaliweyn.Wherever we are whether Somalia,SL,Djibouti,Ethiopia or Kent we always turn on each other and say the most despicable things to each other. The pastoral/nomadic culture destroyed Somalia, not Islam or anything else. For centuries, survival meant sticking with your own and disputes were solved when old clansmen sat under a tree to hash things out.

For many centuries, there was never a nation state that had laws and strictly enforced those laws. When a geeljire ran into trouble, his clan handled it. Obviously in the modern world, this doesn’t work.

All problems started when there were attempts to established government and laws to govern these people. The British tried it first and failed. The Italians tried it for nearly a century and failed. And then Somalis tried it and failed.

In short, our culture is stupid and the more we get away from it and accept being governed, the better it is for us. There are signs this is happening slowly.
