but certain countries that are involved simply dont have the allies who want to get involved to make it a bigger conflict

You cant really do a land invasion of Iran. Its a country which has the geography of Afghanistan but nearly 3 times the land area and a pouplation of 90 million.

Israel and Iran going at full scale war would mean at minimum a NATO/US confrontation with China and Russia. Nobody wants that, which is why it is not happening.
