I think it's more to do with the breakdown of the family unit via feminism. The older generation are by in large grew up with the traditional upbringing in a traditional environment. Men and women both had roles and the main was imaam of the household and fulfilled his role.

I agree with this, somalis once married in general dont cheat. i mean they divorce quickly once they lose interest. But Somalis has nothing on whites when it comes to double life. They stay married and just have bunch of affairs. Divorce for a lot of them is just hassle. But in general the high divorce rate comes from us not raising our kids right with the right value. people are just too selfish and self centered nowadays. it doesnt help we are bombarded with individualism every day. Do what you feel like, its your life and you only live once. Rather be alone than unhappy and never taught to actually work through things.
