Several reasons to why diaspora community is suffering from high divorce rate.
The biggest reason why somali get married is for sex. There isn't love, knowledge or something they share.
Another reason is the welfare state. no reason why a woman needs a man if the government is gonna come thru with the monies. Similarly, no reason why a lazy man would work for his family if he knows the tax payer is going to bring up his offspring. In short, socialism is bad for the institution of marriage.

I'll tell honestly and succinctly the reason why there is high divorce rate in our community is because of Somali men.
Somali men believe the idea of 'been kuso celi, run kudhakh' means tell her as much as lies as you can to marry her. When you marry her treat her like you wish basically meaning he treats you like a xaar, dog etc. This makes the woman feel not loved after marriage which she interest in the man and how much effort she should make for him.
They are not ambitious and only want easy life just chilling, relaxing all day everyday, chewing Khat and sheeko makhayada.
They don't help their wives with the house work, they don't do shit with their shit life. They don't know how to value a woman they see us as a cooking machine. How many times a day do you hear Somali men asking, what can you cook? Can you cook Cambuulo or Malawax? They ask us many questions which symbolise that they are in fact the ones who are looking for a save haven from us.
I personally think that Somali men only want us for themselves because they believe that they can get away with stuff. I mean, the power dynamic of the traditional Somali household really does benefit the Somali man. I mean, we cook, clean and take care of the kids too.

After all they are worthless. The worst is they will get angry and all defensive when someone points out the issue.
