we already know communities on the river are especially prone to flooding. We have seen what happened to hiraan last year and even few years back. We have seen again this week what happened in many parts of the country. Why hasn’t the government built floodgates to channel water elsewhere?
isn’t it better to be proactive and Build these flood defenses now knowing the next flooding is a matter of when and not if?
It insane how the government can sit there and see the same events happening again and again and the best they can do is form a task team or donate money that will probably be stolen by middle men.
You would think living in the USA and Norway would help these guys bring a lot of useful western ideas. I guess not
