Why don't we have a Somali tv channel based in Canada?

Majority of the stations are based in the UK, US and other European nations. I have not seen a single Somali channel based in Canada. Why am I forced to watch Somali content from other western nations when we can make our own channel. So should I establish a Somali speaking channel in Canada? I would purge the American and English Somali media professional who are fluent in Somali.

Too busy with gang shit:browtf:

Good luck. It was attempted before in the 2000s from what I remember and it was stymied by roadblocks and red tape created by the telecommunications oligopoly who pull the strings of the regulatory body.

Other ethnic groups have been calacaling for years but have been slapped by the industry hellbent on diversifying and crushing any new upstarts for chump change returns. Each of us now get a 1 or 2 hour slot on Rogers' OMNI or City TV; Somalis got Muqaalka Soomaalida and Integration TV. The Indayar and Hindu get a bit more like Hockey Night In Canada in their own language and some radio shows for the morning commute.

:damn:
