Why don't we eat fish in our culture?

I’ve heard it’s seen as less masculine. Tearing into some nice chicken or hilib ari is way cooler than weakly cutting up some fish.

Djiboutians eat fish regularly, once a week I believe

I don't think so, considering alot of seafood goes unsold and expires in suuqs because the locals do not buy it

They even have ads now educating people that seafood is good for you in Kismaayo:shookgabre:

I have even heard that even chiken had the same status before:patrice:,not sure doe. I belive it's some pre-islamic belife that never really manage to die
Anyways it's a :trash: belife, Fish aka Salmon is so delicious:lawd:
 
They sell fish in the markets as a delicacy. Maybe if they cook it better and treat it as a sidepiece on a main dish instead of a snack it will be more standardized.

I’m more of chicken person myself, but I do love me some nicely seasoned salmon. :patrice:
