Areas your referring to is 1 place " Halene " which is located behind the airport and houses most Western U.N workers, there is 2 gates the first gate is manned by Somali and the secondary Gate is Manned by Amisom, but gates they inspect the cars and people going in. No where else in Mogadishu do you have areas were only AMISOM inspect, even in Madina Gate you have Somali NISA and police in the front and AMISOM in the back.

They have good quality of life and more safety than many in Somalia. Many also want that refugee status and chance to make it to west. Used to have uncle who used to travel to Kenya just to get refuge card renewed. Only issue is life so good some become more Kenyan than somali as seen when some sided with Kenya during ocean border dispute

Probably because Kenyan Somalis are much more integrated than Ethiopian Somalis. Somalis that have never left Garissa before speak fluent swahili whereas in Ethiopia only the Somalis in Addis even entertain the idea of learning Amharic. Also, Kenya works for Somalis
