Why doesn't Somaliland claim it's the successer of Somali republic, like Taiwan?

I wonder if many reer somalia know SL was an independent nation at one point. A full nation complete with political parties, constitution, parliament?

I'm seeing ignorant posts similar to topic in this thread on SM, call landers qaran dhumis tratoirs and annoying constant claims SL is under FGS.. Seems like many self-proclaimed wadanis don't know pre-1969 history or its misinformation campaign by CBBs. OP care to answer?
