Why do white conservatives dislike Islam so much ? I have a theory

Islam is very conservative and they share the same God. White Neo cons basically just want a Christian version of Sharia Law. If 9/11 was caused by a fringe group of Christians, I don’t think they would demonize the whole religion.
My thoughts are that they’re still salty about the white slave trade. The Barbary slave trade is the reason why the US navy was formed. I speculate that white right wingers don’t ever bring this fact as a reason for their dislike of Muslims is because it ruins their “Whites were always the ruling class” narrative.
I also think there’s some jealousy and self projection going on, too. As much these “nazis” talk about changing America back to the Christian God, they always chicken out. Where’s the wall or banning abortions during Trump era ?

Also why do Republicans think Obama is an African Muslim and Loves Islam? Dude was raised completely by his white side. Socialism and feminism are inventions of whites. A lot of Muslim Berbers were very anti-government. No why a traditional EAST AFRICAN Muslim is going be that buttersoft

It is historical mostly. Islam was seen as the archnemesis of Europe / Western civilization through the Middle Ages and early Modern period (Iberian peninsula Reconquista, Ottoman wars in the Balkans / Siege on Vienna etc.).

And it is also a bit racial, Christianity is controlled by white people (Vatican/Rome, Nordics/Anglos/White Americans with Protestantism, Greece (Eastern Orthodox), while Islam is this brown people thing from Arabia.

I don't think white nationalists dislike Catholics anymore. That used to be an issue of the past (mainly against Italians), but now they have much ''bigger issues''.

Ashkenazi Jews are half European half Middle Eastern. They aren't fully Middle Eastern.

In Europe, Middle Easterners aren't considered white. America groups them as white according to the census, but socially they aren't considered white by most people there either, especially not the Muslim ones.

It used to be old school hostility between whites. I don't think they care about Christian denominations anymore, perhaps only in Northern Ireland.
