Why do we fight over land when it is enough for everyone?

In fact it is more than enough for everyone. So why do we fight over it? Why claim empty and uninhabited lands? South Korea is 6 times smaller than Somalia but has a population of over 50milliom people. Meanwhile our Somalia has less than 20 million people. I think it is greed and pride.
Also if we fight over empty lands how are we suppose to share revenue that will come out of the oil and gas?
