Why do Somalis put hijabs on little girls?

Is weird to me, hijab is beautiful but they should wear it when they either go to the mosque or when going to quran classes when they're that age outside of that they shouldn't since they are children, they should begin wearing when they enter year 7 and onwards. Btw nowadays in London you see more somali chilsren not wear hijab i think this happens often in Minnesota.

Depends though which diaspora reer we are talking about. Reer UK is the most religious imo and I defo used to see many kids younger than 10 with hijab. I remember my own mother getting told to put a hijab on my younger sister by over zealous somali mum when growing up.

uk somalis are religious but nowadays in London I see some young somali girls that don't wear the hijab like under 10 but after 12 I almost always see Somali girls with hijab is extremely rare to see a non hijabi somali girl when she hits puberty
