It's not that we have "big foreheads" more so round foreheads to be exact. I think it has to do with our facial bone structure, most somalis have very narrow and small noses with high nose-bridge which can only come if the forehead has big pump on the front or if its flat and long like Europeans.

Flat longer forehead (often seen on white poeple)

Round foreheads (what somalis and East Africans have)

It's weird because Europeans on an average have big foreheads too (very long and flat) yet nobody makes fun of them for it, because unlike somalis they actually know how style it by using appropriated hairstyles. I also think the stereotype of somalis having "big foreheads" is because most of us don't take care of our hair either we shave it very short (men) or hide under the hijab which can cause your babyhair to fall off (woman).

In East asians countries like South Korea they often give forehead implants when a women gets a nose job to make her new and narrow nose look more natural by giving her a round forehead.

Example. Falt small foreheads - Round forehead

Having a big forehead is actually good thing for a woman, however having a bad hairline or no babyhair does give you an unflattering look.
