Plenty of Somalis, will be in for a shock when they do a DNA test and find out that they are only Somali, because their Maternal line was Somali, not their Paternal line. The original 'mixed race' people are among us, unaware, that they carry haram adopted Somali clan names.

Now, a lot of this is due to bottle-necks and founder-effects that probably phased out other Cushitic lineages like E-V6, E-V22, E-M293 and A-M13 but, all in all, even with those added the female lineages vastly outnumber them which points to the tribal, pastoral and polygamous nature of our ancestors. A few men fathering a whole pre-historic tribe or subtribe, for example. And those few men were probably very well-off and owned large herds and commanded much influence and power and could phase out the rest.
The former, more dominant lineage, is firmly Cushitic/Afro-Asiatic and native while the other might have come from South-Arabia with things like camel domestication and cultural influences from ancient Yemen but that was like 2,000-3,000 years ago and it's well set-in by now and isn't worth thinking of as ajanabi, not to mention that Horners already seem to have native T1a lineages anyway as evidenced by Xabashis and other Cushites. The remaining 10% is mostly J1 (more Arabian influence) or A-M13 (native Nilotic tack-on from thousands upon thousands of years ago) with some rare E lineages that are mostly just ancient Cushitic holdouts by the looks of it then you get the extremely rare R1a, H, L or E1b1a like that Bantu bro which are almost unheard of. Nothing to make a big deal of and the majority of Somali males are native in their paternal origins.
