Why do Somali people look down on Somali names?

Lol I straight up have an Arab name not even Islamic. Sadly I'd have to go 10 names up my abtirsi to mention a Somali name. I need to break that chain

Why is it always a persons view turns into a view all Somalis hold . Stop with the generalisations Saxiib

Although majority of Somalis have arabic names we still have a good amount of libaans , sharmaake , ayanlee and a whole lot Farahs ( The second most common after abdi ) . Many more names after too

Names liked ayanle and libaan are dying. More Somalis are going for khaleeji names like Rayaan and Ahlam these days.
