You would have a point if this was one single, isolated experience. Unfortunately, that's not the reality. Many of my friends, family, acquaintances have had similar experiences, including ajnabis. When as soon as any ajnabi reverts at the masjid, there's a line up of Xalimos ready to tie the knot with him. That demonstrates to most rational thinking people that something is clearly amiss and not just an example of hearing the braying of a loud minority.

Rather, what I believe and have good reason to is a large number of Somali women (i.e not all or even close to it) in the diaspora suffer from serious psychological and mental issues. They hate themselves and everything about their culture.
