Almost every Somali woman is forced and shamed to wear the hijab by like age five. Many don’t want to wear it, but face judgement and ostracization from family and the community. That’s pretty much why you see some hijabies acting out.

There are alot of somali girls that wears the hijab because Allah swt said so. It's fine that you don't wear it, but you don't need to lie, saying they are oppresed, to make you feel better about your choice.
