Why Do Somali Families Move So Frequently?

In the fourth grade I was best friends with a fellow Somali, great guy; family moved by the end of the school year.
When I was twelve a Somali kid moved into my neighborhood, and I befriended him as well. He lived there for a couple years, we hanged out, shit was good; by the time I was a freshman he was gone.
During high school I met yet again another Somali and he left by the time I graduated.

I don't understand why this is the case? Are Somalis getting better economic opportunities and moving up in the world?

I’ve never heard of anything like this near me. Most of my somali friends have been living where they are currently for more than a decade. Some of their families move to a neighbouring town cause of cheaper rent and more space, but it’s no where far. I myself have been living in the same building my whole life. It’s rare for people here to move around.

I moved 8 times in the same city and 5 times in the same neighborhood. Dukes went from homeless shelter to now renting a solid house.
