As much as I find the idea of all sub saharan africans being lumped in as black a dumb idea and I have nothing in common with even people from next door, I like to politically claim black and take advantage of that label to benefit from all the programmes for black people. I mean, I'm literally going to a conference in November where I will receive free accommodation (at the Hilton no less), free meals (breakfast, lunch and supper) and refreshments and possibly even travel expenses covered. A crèche will be available on site for those who need childcare (not me).

Gulf Arab countries are underrated. I can safely travel there, not interact with any locals, toss a few riyals to the tjs to work for you and enjoy a holiday with no headaches. Egypt is the best Arab country outside of the gulf. Good vibes over there
