They have been ruled for the last 1,000 years. They had their time to shine but then rule of the middle east returned to Anatolia and Persia.

Maybe in the past they would have united but in the modern era it's far from happening. Some of them are monarchists and other are autocratic government. In my opinion they should form a NATO like alliance. A military alliance might be great for them

Unfortunately, our leaders are indeed cowards. Some I would not class as cowards, such as the Qatari leadership.

But yeah, a NATO style alliance is more of a realistic option than a fully fledged United Arab state.

They did shine, the Arab-Islamic Golden Age flourished under Arab rule & most of the philosophers & scientists were Arabs.

Pax-Arabica! If all the Arab Leaders supported one another in the latter half of the 1950s stomping out Israel, Shias, Ethios and the colonists and creating an EU style league with free trade tho limited immigration, it’d definitely be amongst the top on the world stage.

Hopefully, Somalia’s attempt to join the EAC fails. We have foolish leaders who think we can be part of the Arab League & EAC at the same time.

It’s simply not feasible, since both organisations will entail deep integration on security/military & geo-political level.

I don’t think many will immigrate to Somalia. Arabia will be the main hotspot for intra-Arab immigration for obvious reasons.

An Arab union doesn’t necessarily mean every member state will have free open borders. Much like how some EU members are not part of the Schengen zone, but make it slightly easier for a fellow EU citizen to immigrate into their country.
