It’s kinda funny they left out somaliland and Djibouti
It is historically incorrect, so who cares. Somalia was never part of that chaliphte to begin with.
It actually did. It’s incorrect in many ways the caliphate didn’t reach or Pakistan

The Umayyads not only reached Pakistan (Sindh) but conquered it. The Governor of Iraq Al Hajjaj Ibn Yusuf (under Caliph Abdul Malik Ibn Marwan) sent his young nephew Muhammed ibn Qassim to conquer Sindh (region in Pakistan). This was after was a pirate raid off the coast of Debal resulting in gifts to the caliph from the king of Serendib (modern Sri Lanka) being stolen. It’s incorrect in many ways the caliphate didn’t reach or Pakistan
do you got any source lol islam didn't even reach Somalis until the 10th centurySomaliland was never part of any Arab empires. However somaliland has 5th or 6th oldest mosque in the world. Masjid qiblatayn. This mosque was built during the 6th century. During the time of the prophet (PBUH). While the umayid khalifet came like 100 years after the prophets death. This shows Somalis from somaliland were Muslim before most Arab countries.

Modern day sl. Stop with the politics.Actually Somalis and Ethiopians whete one of the first people to accept Islam. When the sahaba migrated they landed in modern day Eritrea, then they went to the Ethiopian king in Axum modern day Ethiopia. I believe some of them landed in Zayla modern day somaliland because the mosque there (masjid qiblatayn) was built around 620-630)

Meanwhile the oldest mosque in modern day Egypt was built in 641, 20 years after the mosque in zayla.

Yes Islaam reached Zeila (which was part of Axum at the time) before it reached Madena but the people who inhabited the region weren't Somali.Completely false. Islam reached the Somali shores before most of Arabia actually.

“During antiquity Zeila was part of the Somali city-states that in engaged in a lucrative trade network connecting Somali merchants with Phoenicia, Ptolemaic Egypt, Greece, Parthian Persia, Saba, Nabataea, and the Roman Empire. Somali sailors used the ancient Somali maritime vessel known as the beden to transport their cargo”
When the sahabah came to Zeila they encountered Somalis and later habashis after crossing deeper into Aksum empire
