2. South Yemen was a satellite state of the USSR, they were basically under gumeeysi. They were fighting their own fellow Yemenis in the name of the USSR.
3. This incident should have nothing to do with Yemeni immigration. Yemen opened its borders to Somalis and allowed unlimited immigration. Somalis were able to obtain citizenship, work and safety there.
