Why Colonel Barre Hiraale is the best person to lead an anti-AS offensive.

Colonel Barre Hiraale, the man who crushed the ICU into the Jubba Valley. Now we are not looking at the huge ICU but a smaller but more fanatical terrorist group. Many have noted that an offensive into Middle Jubba would be a masacare.

I wholeheartedly agree with this, if an untrained random local military commander or even worse a civilian military force attacked they would be absolutely decimated.

People say war is a numbers game, I say it's a game of strategy. You need someone experienced in the terrain and regions, someone who is a trained millitary officer.

This man is Colonel Barre Hiiraale.

Barre has already liberated these areas once and with the right preparation and tactics.

Along with a patriotic army and a superb and experienced commander, liberating Middle Jubba will be tough, there will be losses but the final goal is to exterminate the Terrorist threat.

You just airstrike and shell shabaab positions. Or you could send in an undercover agent who can tell you their positions/members/weapons/fighters.

Or you could overstretch there resources by attacking them from many fronts, middle juba borders 4 regions so attack from there.

How are you gonna evacuate people who are ideologically shabaab and sympathize with them. This one of the Main problems why ceelbuur is hard to free, same thing in middle shabelle the people there went with shabaab when they where defeated, along with other parts of the country that sympathize with these terrorists.

Totally agree. Also, the challenging part is that once these land are ‘liberated’, how do you deal with their supporters? It’s the reason AS can attack at any point again, given opportunity, since their sympathies remain there, whom they can collaborate against state forces. Just like IS, as long as their ideology exist, the threat of AS will not end on the battle. Hopefully the gov’t have a plan on how to tackle this issue.

oh i am not singling out the beautiful people of gado, i just don't don't think fighting fire with fire will make the region remain peaceful. i hope there's a peaceful resolution because gado people deserve nothing but the best

No Ethiopian troops were in Middle Jubba until 2006. Barre controlled from Kismaayu to Maandheera from 98-2006 and then lost to ICU and then Ethiopians came and was named Defence Minister by AY AUN where he held Kismayo for another year until AS took it.

These air strikes are sometimes not striking any AS strongholds especially Kenyan warplanes which just kill animals and civilians.

Yes hormuud is in cahoot with shabaab, how else would there towers be in AS territory. Hormuud and Safaricom are battling it out in Kenya borders/jubaland safaricom wants their towers in Somalia, hormuud uses shabaab to destroy safaricom towers, then Kenya bombs hormuud towers.

We could try the Bashar Assad method pack these terrorists in refugee camps and do maskax/daqan celin for them or the Russian method just shell and level a whole city to the ground.
