Are you talking about the Sudanese? the biggest difference is that Sudanese people have Arab ancestors and they actually speak Arabic. The average Somali doesn’t have either. Habeshas have a better claim to be Arab than the average Somali. At least the average Habesha speaks a Semitic language.
We don't speak Arabic as a native language and we don't share culture with Arabs except religious stuff and Yemeni influence. Culturally Turks , Persians etc are closer to Arabs than us

Aren't sudanese Arab tribes like 40% eurasian like Somalis and other horners? The Arab mixture doesn't seem too high in Sudan. Some Arab tribes in Sudan are pretty much language shifted Nubians
Arab is more linguistic than is genetics. Sudanese speak Arabic, we don't, we speak Somali. I'm probably in a minority but it's actually a blessing we didn't get Arabized

Who are the arabs their two types.
1. Ancestoral Arab(they can live in middle east or outside of it, they must have tribal origin in Yemen or else they cannot claim such thing.
2. Converted arabs who are of a different ancestoral stock but culturally is Arab today like many in the shaam, maghrib, Egypt those people were not arabs prior but upon conquest adopted arabic culture with their own twist to it obviously. Mind u there many ancestoral stock arabs in converted areas of the mid east also and previous older population who merged.
The Same thing exists in Israel, their all jews bro who went separate regions like Africa and mid east or Europe in different time periods and waves.

Also homogenization happens as we see naturally with globalization languages are coalescing, as we see English has and will eat a lot of languages like how many European languages did in the 20tg century but now are by English

Berber languages died out also many adjacent Northren Semitic languages like Assyrian Aramaic Phoenician languages etc
