Why British People Moving To Australia?

@Ghengis Kaarhis all the job recruiters I talk to all have uk accents, They are dominating industries already, especially HR.

They're was even this Somali chick born in the UK, came to visit Australia and never wanted to leave, she came back and got a work visa. She works in child-care now I think. What I like about Australia is has less publicity to the average 3rd worlder who opt for U.S or Europe. This means it's still untouched with immigrants. Even tho that is changing with heaps of indians arriving on skilled visas.

Lived in Melbourne for some years and this doesnt ring true.

In victoria (#2 state by population) 25% residents were born overseas and 50% had a parent that was born overseas.

Many are from European countries, there’s many chinese, Indians , lebanese, Turks etc. Australia is very much a immigrant heavy country. And your right about the expat Brits, they got the recruitment industry on lock.

I get what you mean though as the country while has a lot of immigrants lacks “colour” as most immigrants are from Europe, east Asia, Middle East and some (very minority) South Americans. Very few blacks.

One of my close English friends is moving there actually.

Brits love moving to Australia for a few reasons.

Britain is closer culturally to Australia than it is to other English speaking countries.

Brits love sun and sea. And Australia has both in abundance.

Rightly or wrongly, Brits perceive Australians to have a better work/life balance than the UK.

I may be wrong but it's highly unlikely
A lot of NHS doctors are moving to Aus for better pay/less hours.
Yeah Australia appreciates the hard work made by doctors compared to the UK by a mile. Better pay and more free time as you mentioned plus a sunny environment in contrast to bipolar English weather

UK salaries for doctors and engineers are so insulting . I'd do whatever it took to get outta there if I was one

@Basra is smart noticing Australia is very 'white'. 90% is european looooooool @IPushFatKids. They even had an official white australia policy which lasted from 1901 till 1975. Second largest groups after whites is 'east asians' followed by Indians(these guys r recent tho n come in due to skill shortages)

PS - What I love about Aussies they will call u n1gger directly like this guy 5:30 mark. They are very direct people no political correctness. U know where u stand with aussies, they're is very little 'indirect' racists.

Because it’s culturally similar to the UK but warmer and less gaajo

Australia even call italians/greeks/balkan countries 'wogs' and 'dagos' and they are not considered 'anglo-saxon' in Australia, where-as in America those ppl wud be considered white. They were forced to take these ppl after world war 2 who were gaajo but they always preferred 'uk' migrants and some argue it's still the same.
