Why are southern Somalis way shorter than the average?

When I went to Mogadishu in 2018 I felt like a giraffe walking in the city. Both men and women are shorter than usual.

I went to Burco in 2015 & 2016, I didn't feel like a giraffe tbh. In Mogadishu in this restaurant I met this pretty reer xamar girl (she was hella short but cute). Legend has shorter girls are better in bed.

Sxb, I know only few reer burco here and they are shorter than most Somalis. Since you guys became anti-jeegaan, you thought that you were like dinosaurs against them. keep that family feud internally (within Somaliland) and don't come for us with this heelo. Sheeko

Malnutrition. There's no genetic reason

I noticed, when I went backhome, the city dwellers were much skinnier and shorter than the reer miyi folks.

Some Somalis are more susceptible to the stunting effects of malnutrition. Subsisting off of 2 laxooxs a day and a cup of shaah with a handful of digaag, fool or hiliib de jour will do that to you.

The city people are malnutritioned however reed miyi have abundance of milk and hilib. They also walk a lot and do activities that require tallness such as kissing the camel on its forehead.

reer mii eat meat like twice a year and they sell their milk nowdays so they don’t get to drink caano geel or lo’. they do drink some ciir/buttermilk though.
both reer mii and magaal are very malnourished.

I also noticed that people from djibouti and awdal are shorter than people from hargeisa and burco.
