Why are some people equivicating the 1988-91 conflict in SL to 1990s unrest in Major SL cities?

the comparison to many is quite offensive when taking into account the totally of the circumstance in regards to the late 80s war and the 1990s unrest in SL.

Many would say that the conflict was largely Political which unfortunately divided people based on clan lines especially with regards to the attempt of SL government trying to control Berbera port from ciise Muuse militia or ciidgalle militia from Hargeisa Airport.
