This sounds JUST like an AA issue. Wow you guys seem to have a lot in common with us.

Soon as an AA "makes it" -- as in moving up the socioeconomic ladder, they tend to end up being accused of "trying to be better" or they end up accusing others of "hating on" them.

We AA's call it the "crab in the barrel" syndrome.
