Or in special cases, it makes things much easier for some men who faces challenges of communicating with women (not that I condone it though).
For instance, a Somali Bantu brother was brought from the refugee camps to Maine, US. In the apartment complex where they were staying at, there was this cadaan family with a beautiful young lady. The brother faced a language barrier, but he assured adored that girl and wanted to do everything in his power to get that girl.
What did he do next? He carefully charted a plan: He would wear a macawis without underwear, keep an eye on that family's balcony, and as soon as that girl was out and looking at him, he would pretend he was tightening his macawis but would actually drop the front half purposely. The goal was to communicate to the girl and show her what he was fielding.
The young lady threw a laugh every time that Somali fella dropped the macawis. Well, it didn't go as he hoped so. The girl's mother got suspicious on what her mother was smiling at every time she was out in the balcony by herself. She started looking at things from the window while also hiding behind a curtain. Well, she eventually saw what was happening nearby and what her daughter was laughing at every time that Abdi dropped the macawis.
What did the mother did next was not expected at all. She went to the local newspaper and exactly explained what she witnessed. She complained that refugees and new immigrants need to be taught that nudity isn't acceptable in the US, and men should not be showing their genitals to young girls in a public setting.
Only married men should wear macawiis at home
