When I was a kid my mother use to yell at me all the time for no reason. One time I got whooped by my mother for eating all the chicken in the house, I was a thick kid back in the day and I needed all the calories I can get. All my memories of my hoyo is her yelling at me, or roasting me in front of people. Yet now that I am successful and make really good money Im suppose to support my mother and give her a huge amount of my money. Also why are somali parents bad at giving career advice, so many of my friends are stuck in college trying to become it majors, or be in the medical industry. Those are the hardest majors, you need to be top tier in your class to be successful in those majors.

This isn't just exclusive to Somali mothers y'know. What parent doesn't push their kids to be better than they are? They know what it is like to suffer and the thought of the same happening to their kids really puts them on the edge.
In these instances, you truly wouldn't understand until you've been in their shoes and have kids of your own. Just do your best and keep going at your own pace. Learn to just take in criticism and understand where your mother is coming from.

Dude you sound like you're too angry to even try to understand. If your mother pisses you off so much, then why don't you move away, while still providing financially? You do have that option. Talking about your mother/other mothers like this isn't going to get you anywhere.
Asians have it worse. Some friend of my auntie doesn't talk to her parents because since they were Asian and strict they called her a useless Chinese girl and told her that she would amount to nothing . Now when they age they will rot in nursing homes and get beaten by by social care workers.
