Why are people in Africa so weak and have no dignity?

I’ve always wondered where did this attitude stem from? It can’t be slavery past because North East Africa is also like that so what makes our continent so different to others? Why are people so defeatist and are not willing to protect their country with pride?

With so much resources, we could’ve been like Asia but we’re the laughing stock to the world, it’s degrading and it piss me off so much. F the older generation.

Somalis certainly have dignity our history is proof-It's just for the past 30 years our leaders have chosen wealth over our progression as a nation

Who said Africans are defeatists? If anything, they along with Asians have some of the most prideful people on the planet

You need to get more specific, are you talking about present day Somalis? And protect their country from what exactly? If you're referring to colonialism there were numerous Somalis who were martyred in opposition to subjugation and they ought to be celebrated for the heroes and heroines they were.

If they were prideful then they wouldn’t degrade themselves and turn their countries into “free for all” for foreigners.

If they were prideful then everyone would have overthrown their corrupted leaders and rebuild their countries long time ago. The fact that absolute nothing has changed made me lost all hope for them.

If they were prideful then they would have used rich resources to feed themselves instead of relying on foreigners. I can keep going.

Yes, that includes Somalia. Look who is financing, rebuilding and maintaining the crucial part of the country while stealing valuable resources and dumping toxic waste on our seas.

NOT even the Arab Spring inspired them to change despite being next door to North Africa! Instead, they took the opportunity to run away to Europe.

My post is very clear. Africa is known for 3 things entrenched in the eyes of the world; famines, starvations and civil wars - Every one of them till this day.

Why? Why do we all have the same thing in common?

Many Asian and South American countries also went through colonial subjugation but their situation is nowhere near as ours.

Maybe read on the history of how these countries became destabilized and lawless? The imperialism of the 19th century destabilized much of Africa through its proxy wars. The "foreign aid" you speak of is only neocolonialist subversion to keep these countries dependent.

Btw if you think those countries like Japan and Korea are so much better off after the cold-war look at how their past culture and values were completely eroded in exchange for the capitalist facade.

Sub saharan africans view themselves as inferior to anyone a shade lighter to them and you wonder why Africans have no dignity.

Geography pretty much, Civilization started in Mesopotamia because of the regular flooding of their land while the sahara cut off most of SSA from other empires, we saw with Kush what would've been possible if we had proximity to other empires

You realise we had empires and states as well as cities dating back millenia before anything in Europe outside the Mediterranean 😂😂. Do not compare the horn to the struggles of people like south Africa ect.

Rome got it's civilization from the mediterranean/greeks and set the background for European domination of the world ages ago. We are definatly better off than other Africans but it cucked us as well. If it wasn't for that and the tsetse fly the whole of Eastern Africa would be Cushitic speaking

Somalis were among the first people in Africa and the Middle East to resist military rule .
Before the Arab people knew the popular revolution against tyranny, the Somalis had military fronts fighting to overthrow the ruling military regime in Somalia.

the question :
What benefits did the Arabs gain from the so-called Arab Spring revolutions (now called " the devastation of the Arab Autumn " ) ?

Selfish leaders who main focus is stealing as much as possible

Population that are easily deceived by the above mentioned leaders

These events do not occur in a vacuum, no other continents were divided in the same manner Africa was with European powers decided who would rule what. Most African nations have been "self-governed" for only 60 years or so. Civil war is a different matter since its case dependent but I'm hoping you can see how oftentimes foreign states are involved (look at Sudan, Djibouti or even Somalia). It doesn't mean the populous is without blame, however this is principally an issue of governance as opposed to people.

Asian countries are hard to compare since their colonization was much more sporadic and most were in an earlier time period. South American countries are not even indigenous anymore so I'm not sure you'd really want to take them as an example, most of their population are mixed indigenous and European. They've lost their language and culture with the exception of a few isolated groups.
