Also, what is the origin of honeymoons, how did they start, and which class of people most commonly go on them. Why do we adopt these cultures from western people. Also is a honeymoon mandatory for you when you get married?
somalis have something very very similar to it. forgot the name, but i think a friend of the bride goes with the bride and cooks/cleans/helps for them for like a couple of weeks. honeymoons are just more expensive versions of that, so if it's expected by your culture then probably mandatory. Also, what is the origin of honeymoons, how did they start, and which class of people most commonly go on them. not talking about religion. like there are many non-religious things that the culture requires. stuff like yarad (money you give to the bride's family i think).why would it be mandatory cuz of culture.... are you just making things up?

Going on a vacation is imitating kufar? Y'all don't get tired?it's not mandatory unless it's really something from within Islam... and I've never heard of it in Islam... and if it doesn't have a basis in Islam then I think clearly it would be imitating kuffar
How come wearing white wedding dresses isn’t seen as haram by Salafi scholars such as Ibn Uthaymeen?it's not mandatory unless it's really something from within Islam... and I've never heard of it in Islam... and if it doesn't have a basis in Islam then I think clearly it would be imitating kuffar
Seriously? It isn’t mandatory. It’s something couples like to do so that they’re not distracted. Also, traveling brings you closer to your spouse as that when you get to know someone on a deeper level. When couples can’t afford to travel, they tend to opt out. Also, what is the origin of honeymoons, how did they start, and which class of people most commonly go on them. Let’s not jump to extremes. Is using tech imitating the Kufaar? Paid holidays? The list goes on.
How is white wedding dresses which has more of a symbolism than a holiday? Hey Sh.Uthaymeen was okay with it as Saudis started to it en-masse. What happened to their traditional Arab wedding dresses?tech is different than culture.

With regard to what is called the “honeymoon”, it is even worse and more reprehensible, because it is an imitation of the non-Muslims and it is a great waste of money. It also leads to neglect of many religious matters, especially if this time is spent in a non-Muslim country, after which they come back with habits and customs that are harmful to them and to their society. These are matters which are dangerous to the ummah. But if the man were to travel with his wife to do ‘Umrah or to visit Madinah, there is nothing wrong with that, in sha Allah. ThAts my point. Why are white dresses allowed according to him if all of the customs of the non Muslims haram? Surely white wedding dresses are more symbolic?look, I don't mean to insult you but I'm a little more interested in Sheikh Uthaymeen's view than the view of strangers on SomaliSpot... and I respect the scholars and I'm not interested in belittling or undermining them
Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan said in al-Mukhallas al-Fiqhi (2/581) have stated that:btw...
Here a part of a fatwa on honey moon of Sheikh ibn 'Othaymeen:
if you have a different view, you're free to that but there's no need to go around painting me as an extremist because I have a perfectly legitimate view
