Muqdisho is so ridiculously big that you could live a lifestyle that is close to the developed world average if you have enough money. Something similar is taking place in Hargeisa and Jigjiga.

The larger a city's population is, the larger the absolute number of people rich enough to live like the girl in the video. This is already the case in all of the larger cities in Africa, grinding poverty and wealth next to each other.

Buying packaged meat isn’t smart. I wouldn’t do it but with regards to meats, it’s very easy to tell when it’s fresh or not. We have eyes and noses. But I agree with you in saying that quality control is non existent.

My grandfather's house, our family home, is in Boondheere and close to Villa Somalia. Our former neighbours rebuilt their homes so ours is one of the old houses needing remodeling. If the house comes my way, I will sell it to the first bidder.
