It's simple. Somalis are already multi-generational mixed people. Additional West Eurasian ancestry would make the average Somali look like a typical Maghrebi/Berber.

Whereas, the typical West African-White mix still has Black features, hence why they're still considered Black.

for e.g. South Asian and Afro-Caribbean background.

In America you get classified by the heritage of your parents e.g. Afro-Asian
