The wannacry ransomeware infected 74 countries. Countries that were in the top 20 worst affected included Russia Ukraine, India, Taiwan, China, Romania, Egypt, Iran, Brazil, Spain and Italy.

WannaCrypt is installed on Windows computers by a worm that spreads across networks by exploiting a vulnerability in Microsoft's SMB file-sharing services.

This bug was, once upon a time, exploited by the NSA to hijack and spy on its targets.

Yeah their was a notice board on my work about this, shit is spreading like wildfire, don't open unsolicited e-mails and spam thats the easiest way it spreads.

Current theory is that the blue print for this virus was made by the NSA and that hackers stole the information needed to create it from the NSA

A friend of mine his laptop got infected with this ransomeware

The guy was paranoid for a year cause xaaskiisa usoo dacwootay from UK. He came to me crying "Poliiska ingiiska laptop ka iga xiray".
I asked him if he watched child ographic videos, he was like "uff never!" waxaan daawaday indhayar isfuulaya only once.

I was on the floor rolling kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.
