i don't think apple cider is alcohol. my aunt drank some apple cider in the morning on an empty stomach since she heard that is helps with weight loss. All she got was a stomach ace

I always get invited to after dinner drinks by my non-muslim colleagues and I just end up overdosing on lemonade because I can't drink.
I used to have periods where I really wanted to try drugs and alcohol but alhamdullilah I don't regret not trying.

This is why I don’t hang out with coworkers after work. All they want to do is drink for recreational purposes. Can’t be around functional alcoholics as it might affect my pov slowly.

Don't worry. I'm not interested in any of that shit you listed above. I was only curious about wine cuz it reminds we of a richer/ deeper flavor of high quality fruit juice. Plus I would really like to pick up flower arranging as a hobby and take a class on it. But alas, it needs money~~~~ Looks like I won't be able to pick it up for a couple of years. Plus my mother is so strict that there is no such things as a hobby at home, only shaqo One of the reasons I can't wait for marriage is freedom. I could pick up hobbies, go to yoga, go to brunch, take trips, and have halal fun

Why can’t you pick up those affordable hobbies now, abaayo? You don’t know when you’ll get married so why hold off on your interests until then.

I was walking through the alcohol aisle yesterday and thinking how it doesn’t really affect me anymore. Before I would get upset being near it…I know whatever gaalo like is usually bad taste anyways. Plus I read too much on how people use it in self destructive ways to be tempted by it. They tend to beautify everything bad for us.

I prefer not to speculate. I'd pass out from the scent of their liquored breath and the unsightly wine bellies. I'd suggest flavoured sparkling water in a wine glass instead.

Why do you even go? I refuse to go to any establishment that serves alcohol. If they invite me they make sure it is a halal restaurant - no alcohol service. They actually said the conversations are more interesting without alcohol because other times, they make absolute fools of themselves and barely remember what was said.

I once knew an Abdi (friend of a friend) who said he was a novice Sommlier. I knew that was not French for Somali. He proceeded to tell me he enjoyed some Chardonnay. I thought there must have been a middle-aged cadaan woman trapped inside him. He seemed attractive, physically fit and health conscious but that killed his image to me.
