i heard some say the Yemenis are the first while others say the Ethiopians
but one thing that both claim the somali traders are the one who showed it to the world (trading spot in zeila city )

Ethiopians had the coffee grain first and were the first to use it, Yemenis were the first to make it into the liquid we now know as Coffee, and Somalis were the ones who traded that grain to the whole world

at least that's what I heard

Somalis dont have pride to say it was them Or Habeshis, eveything came from Yemen according to them even their blood lineage

Legend says that the Ethiopians would chew on the coffee beans raw before the yemeni turned the plant into a drink. 😃

Yemen. The plant is native to Ethiopia, but the coffe drink originated from Yemen.

Are you that dense?

Of course Ethiopians came up with the drink as well.
It's in both of our cultures to Eat, drink, and fry coffee beans. Heck Ethiopians take it to an entire different level and have entire Coffee ceremonies.

It's only shameful Yemeni's and ignorant brits that would give/take credit. They even named the Coffee bean "Arabica" when it is indigenous and originally from Ethiopia. There needs to be a name change in the future. How are you going to believe these BIASED and ignorant peoples opinions when they can't even name the coffee bean correctly even though Science proves it originates from Ethiopia?

Ethiopian Coffee drink origin story:

Kaldi (Ethiopian Monk) did not receive the warmest of welcomes at the monastery for discovering coffee beans. One monk referred to his coffee beans as "the Devil's work" and tossed them into the fire. According to the legend, the aroma that wafted up from the roasting beans caught the monks' attention. After removing the beans from the fire and crushing them to extinguish the embers, they attempted to preserve them in an ewer filled with hot water.

This newly brewed coffee had an aroma that attracted even more monks. After trying it, they experienced the uplifting effects for themselves. They vowed to drink it daily as an aid to their religious devotions and to keep them awake during prayers.

There is no proof that Yemeni's invented the drink, they have their own anecdotes that make no sense. At least the Ethiopian origin story makes sense since they discovered the coffee beans first. Yemeni's are known to steal culture from the Horn Africans so this wouldn't be anything new really. This is just another case of Yemen claiming a Horn African creation and the racist whites believe them due to their bias against Horn African people.

Yemen also monopolized the Coffee bean and wanted people to believe they created coffee (and were the source of the bean) because they started making alot of money from it.
