Ok but who did it belong it before Oromo ?
When did the Oromo conquered that land ?
A people called Harla lived there, there origins are not known, but they were mostly habsha Farmers In the highlands The Oromo expansion began in 1577, as oral history says. They reached the last point in Ras Jardifon and returned and ruled for a period of time in zalia
before Ali kalgeyaa expelled them from the city and killed their king Alua bara.

Harlas weren’t habesha farmers lol, they were most likely Cushitic people and prob an extinct/assimilated Somali clan.

The Somalis are a pastoral people who did not know agriculture or dependence on it. The book of Futouh al-Habash distinguished between the Somalis and the Harla and stated that they are two separate peoples The names of the Harla tribes have been mentioned, but they do not appear to be Somali names .

The modern Somali ethnicity originated in Hararghe. The tomb of Hawiye AUN is located deep in Hararghe where Karaanle live.

The Oromos surrounding most of Haraghe (Afaan Qollo) are made up of a bunch of assimilated Somali & Harla qabiils. So in a way both Somalis & "Oromos" are indigenous to the area

Tbh the debate of if Harla were Cushitic speakers or not does not matter much for our history. Whatever they were those people were clearly assimilated into our ethnicity so they're our ancestors either way. No group that spanned from Shewa to Awdal all the to Maydh in Sanaag & Nugaal Valley vanish without a trace :gucciwhat: we were the OG Oromos.

It's also important to note that whenever European explorers came across old ruins left by Harla's across Northern Somalia the clans of the region always made sure to DISTUNGISH themselves from the Harla as either "dadka hore" or even just Harla. Didn't matter if it was a Ciise, Samaroon, Isxaaq, or Darood they all said the same shit. If these people really were just another Somali clan all of the above group of Somalis would've said so.

Also I'm more inclined to believe they were Ethio Semitic speakers due to the futah clans like you mentioned. They had very Semitic sounding names

You claim this because you daarood. I will claim that Harla is dir They are our neighbors and their kingdoms and rulers were in our land
Not really, harla people themselves claimed darood origins
They could've been very much a somali sedentary qabiil that developed it's own dialect *Which's actually very common*
Assimilation doesn't make sense, when people got assimilated they keep their lineages.

Historically speaking hararghe has been interwind with somali origin and lore. Wither be it dir hawiya darod even digil iyo mirfle, madhiban yibir etc, all of whom include hararghe or cathary/athari somewhere in their oral tradition. There are even the mysterious dombiro clan that is found in darod origin story but also is confirmed by biyomaal as being either dir or a brother of dir is said to be found in hararghe. I think the clan is found in babile part of the afran qallo confederacy.

As for the xarla they live west of jigjiga in places such as gursum. Here is their current suldan.

Here they are when they were doing caleemo saar for their suldaan and speaking of themselves and jiiraan as being of the same bah while geri koombe and harti koombe belong to the same bah but ultimate they all meet at kablalah darood which is a somali lineage.

The afar speaking xarla that has been living way up in awsa for almost 500 years still retain their somali lineage despite seeing themselves as afars. We're still waiting for the xarla results from @Step a side.

There is no ancient source that mentions this, but modern people, some of them claim they Oromo and some of them claim they are ciise
Go and read the names of their tribes mentioned in the fatuh alxabash and you will know that this language is not Somali

Yes, I believe in the idea that part of the Somalis are not original Somalis, but rather another people who have integrated with Somalis. This is very clear, especially in the northwest .

Is there an ancient source mentioning somali lineage?
Share if there's a harla lineage through cisse.
Several known somalis had non-somali names
Also Harlaa might simply been a regional identity with somali harlaas being different to them
Check this:
Also considering where they lived they're undoubtedly A cushitic speaking people
The study also affirms that they were more closer to the coast than the interior (Highlands) Ethiopia.
The harlaa lineage is said to have been found inside historical texts

Neither it was the Harla who lived there before anyone else.
What are you on about, you speak as if the xarla are an ethnicity all on their own with no tangible evidence what so ever. Xarla also lived in the border of modern day somalia alongside their somali brethren. Even if we were to suppose for argument sake that they were a stand alone clan there are no actual evidence that lead us to believe that they proceeded somalis in hararghe all we have is but an account of their individual clan name that's all. Either way oromos themselves have only been their for about 500 hundred years while the area was inhabited for at least more than a thousand plus years meaning oromos have no stake in hararghe in terms of it's history beyond a certain point.
