Who Gave Latinos the N word Pass?

I went to California and man they say it in every sentence it makes you think they’re racist. I don’t get how it’s so normalized for them to say it despite some being very white passing and not having any African ancestory.

I can understand some Latinos such as Dominicans and Puerto Ricans saying it due to their mixed heritage but Mexicans, Cubans, Columbians and other groups who are distinctly Hispanic who say it a lot boogles my mind.

I’m talking about Mexicans. PRs can say it abit their ancestory, however Mexicans , Cubans, and Columbians who are distinctly Latino and not as melanated.

At the end of the day, AA's don't really care about Latin people saying "the n word". Latin people just aren't white (well except for maybe a minority).

Look at Arabs, for example. Arabs can have light or dark or whatever color skin- but Arabs are not white even if some may look white. Same with Pakistanis. Everything doesn't reduce to skin color. There's also the aspect of history. You can have Afghans who look white but who are coming from a way different historical background than Europeans. I think white people saying the n-word rubs AAs the wrong way because AAs have a sort of cultural memory of slavery and it reminds them of that. But AA's don't have a cultural memory of being enslaved by Latin people and tend to see Latin people as a fellow marginalized group and so I don't think it really bothers them. Imo AA's and Latin people actually have a really good relationship. They tend to live next to each other and so they do fight with each other but they also become really good friends with each other a lot. Another thing imo is that Latin people fight against them at times and I think this actually creates respect. Right now there's this whole black-Asian conflict and I think AA's actually would respect them more if Asians would come out boldly swinging in self-defense. Everyone knows who it is that's been attacking Asians. Anyways, I think AA's and Latin people are actually really good friends and they fight at times but beneath it a lot of AA's and Latin people are friends with each other and have a good relationship.

yes southern American Hindus, really irritating people btw. they have their own language, culture and history etc but they share Hinduism as a religion alongside the Hindus from Asia.

they are mainly from Suriname here but you do have a sizeable Indians from Guyana (most Guyanese here have a mixed Indian & African ancestry).

They are self hating ass coons and put white people on a pedestal, have something against Africans (and I genuinely meant that, they don’t care if you’re from Nigeria or Ethiopia, they still wouldn’t like your ass) and are ethnically very diverse. Most Surinamers I know have a mixed background (Chinese & Afro, Chinese & Indian, Afro & Indian, Afro & Javaans, etc etc).

The black-Asian tension is kind of awkward for me. I've dealt a lot with both groups.

I've had people sort of try to get me to side with one or the other. It's awkward for me- I want to be on good terms with both. I don't have any problem with either and I've had really good relationships with people from both communities.

I don't think Asians and Hispanics really have tension with each other. The indigenous people of this continent probably came from Asia and so most Hispanics (Indians and mestizos) imo are actually related to Asians. I think the tension is specifically a thing between blacks and Asians. I think it really comes down to what a hadith said- the souls are like recruited soldiers. Asians and AA's have way different cultures. I think it's a culture clash. I think Asians are concerned about AA's attacking them or when it comes to stores, they're concerned about stealing. And then I think AA's see this as racist, it makes them angry. Then on the other hand, Asians really are being attacked. I don't think there is any way to solve the issue except for people to openly and honestly discuss what's happening and why AA's are profiled in the way they are. The stigma at least in part comes from a real issue of crime and once people have the guts to recognize the issue, then they could work on reducing the crime issue and people could live in harmony insha'Allah. But instead you're basically not allowed to discuss the crime issue, everyone is pressured to pretend it isn't there and it doesn't get solved. If people were open and honest, we could address the root factors and really reduce the stigma against AAs by reducing the crime issue. Instead, there's this approach of threatening and intimidation to make people pretend not to see the crime issue and meanwhile letting the crime issue get bigger and bigger.

It’s usually the creoles that are self haters, the maroons are proud african and still speak in their ancestor’s language, despite being 1/2 amerindian and living in the jungles of suriname and some parts of brazil
