Who actually lives in Somalia?

It's funny because I actually initially joined this forum because I thought this a place to talk to Somalis who live in Somalia or moved here like me

99% of folks here are diasporans. The use of English over Soomaali alone should be a dead giveaway. But I have a Somali passport and no western passports and live in the Khaleej where I was born and raised and intend to go back home permanently in a year or two.

Yeah I knew after awhile you guys were mainly diaspora living abroad. Side note, there is such a stark difference in the opinions on a variety of topics between disaporas, and local Somali people here. It's very interesting.

I've noticed that too whenever I went back there or when I speak to folks back there. Diasporans are completely divorced from the reality on the ground back home in many ways.

All over, really. My hooyo's side is from Nugaal, Mudug, Wardheer in Ethiopia, Bay and Gedo. Whereas my dad's side is from Sanaag and Bari. So PL, SL, Kilinka Shanaad and Koonfur but I intend to settle around Sanaag and Bari. Alternate between Cal Madow and Bosaso.
