Its sunnah to no have bad thoughts about ppl.
Expectation and assumption are 2 different things.
I assume the best in ppl but I expect bad in ppl.
Idk about u but even religious Muslims have double crossed me, and all of that, 80% of ppl I met in some way or form has used my good assumption of them against me and I ended up flopping due to that.
Now I expect the worst from ppl, it is for my own safety, and it has proven time and time again in my favour,
I assume that ppl do not have bad intentions and I do not look around for ppls evil, I just makes sure I protect myself from getting oppressed, if I do i will assume the best in a person and he had good intentions but I will never put myself in that position again
