He has real privilege in being a majority class, esp if he’s a non-poor White. Claiming to be a minority is just him dipping his toes into the other pool, at best, but his appearance undermines that, unless it’s only on paper.

It’s just like the case with Elizabeth Warren (claiming a minority on paper to take advantage of that, without being limited by it irl due to her appearance). Minority is not more powerful, it’s just a tool. The real power is being white-appearing and reaping minority benefits on paper lol.
