Ethiopians are politically much more mature, we puntites have to stick with other people that don't have the best political traits. They also have cabinet of 50/50 gender, I think they have good future ahead of them, @Emily congrats.

Their democracy is a sham tho, the whole process is controlled by the govt who ensures to balance out the votes in it's favor without looking to OBVIOUS. As for the peace levels, it's very safe country I can comment on that. It's pretty corrupt though even at the low levels and with a bit of money you can buy your way out of even murder if you wanted too.

Institutionally it's a weak place, not something PL can mimick because that sort of weakness in institutions can result in the people beginning a civil war. Strong and respected institutions are critical for PL peace or else we will always be on the edge of a war.

@Abdalla they are just pandering to the west. she is just there for the photoshoots and some quotes here and there.

The president is ceremonial but it will boost their image. This is a huge W for our arch enemies.

When was the last time you heard about a famine in Ethiopia? Pandering to the west bore its fruits and they are doing billion dollar projects

Are u advocating for an ethiopia, where cops and judges and president up for sale due to lack of institutional integrity? kkkkk c'mon aim a bit higher. You can buy anything in ethiopia even the law, the system, whatever you wish as long as you got $$$ and contacts.

They have been through 3 revolutions since the seventies and the country did not fall apart. That should tell you they have good strong institutions. We have been through one and we are still recovering

Honest question:

Would you guys back unity between SL and PL, to form new a country with new constitution, new flag, etc, please be honest once and no FDK.

I think abdillahi wanted that but it was not feasible because SL has secession policy, we have a federal one. It would look better on his federal project having galkayo to awdal united on federalism, the more allies the better. Power-sharing would be iffy topic tho. It's probably best how it is, except the ssc matter

Would you?

The north would be stronger but I dont see how both clans would unite without the south keeping us in check lol.

Explain why?

Abdalla, sxb this is not tit for dat, but rather a realistic and real unity with vision and prosperity.

Rather then uniting PL/SL, I would prefer SL assist in civilizing the savages in the south. If they did that, this would be great. The more anarchy that happens in the south, the longer they need to wait for 'talks' between sl/somalia. It's not in their interest the way they are now runti.

They can come on-board without comprising their political position and say they want to assist in solving the problems in Somalia.

Walahi it is not tit for tat. I am not emotional nor care about ego. It wont work. You guys have irrational hatred towards us (much like many clans tbh). I do not see how it will work.

Isaaqs will be too proud to enter an equal powersharing agreement with Majeerteen, a mere subclan of darood. And dont think we will be happy with 10% of the parliament like the hartis and samaroob. I am not bragging but walahi majeerteens are different breed. Shit like that wont work and you guys, like typical somalis, will be too proud to see subclans as your equals. Knowing Majeerteens they will demand that isaaqs and harti get exactly the same seats, and the remaining will go to samaroon and others. Isaaq will lose its majority status. Shit like hy, ha, hj and harti subclans getting the same seats wont fly because you will vote for each other

Will you agree to 40% to all isaaqs, 40% to all harti anf 20 to samaroon? Because that is what we will propose
