Bleaching isn't even exclusive to Somali women; it seems to be a disturbing trend among women in general, and happens in many places around the world. If you're truly genuine about bringing awareness to this.. maybe delve a bit deeper into the reason why women continue to do it, despite the extreme health risks & expense.

Although the gay accusations are uncalled for, we both know the reason why you're getting criticism. Not only did you manage to twist & mould another topic into a gender-war themed thread....but you also failed to give a balanced comparison of each vice (you went into detail providing evidence in relation to the harmful consequences of Diana [..while nada for khat]. My motives? In my defence @darklight cane on here guns blazing defending skin bleaching products talking about there’s no drugs in them while khat is a drug can you believe the audacity? My minds eye tells me she might be an ambassador for skin bleaching products so I wanted to educate her on how there’s many harmful drugs in skin bleaching products.

I wanted to delve in deeper but it’s not easy when you’re being attacked from all corners and you’re left with no option but to defend yourself from the flagrant aggression malice directed my way.

As for khat it isn’t exclusive to Somali men; Somali women eat khat and sell it too infact out here in the uk when khat was still legal there were many Somali women who use to sell it and chew it.

But Diana is exclusive to Somali women when it comes to the Somali community you would be hard pressed to find a Somali guy who uses Diana.

I know you’re a reasonable sister who doesn’t roll over and conform on demand I know you’re capable of doing your own critical thinking and won’t allow your opinions to be swayed by the shaming tactics that females are using on this thread and for that I commend you for going against the grain it takes a lot of courage.

I didn’t throughly go through the thread I just saw saw a farax with a macawis having fun with his partner. It hit a nerve for me. From what I have seen here in the west ( Im a stay at home antisocial so pls feel free to correct me inshallah) that many of our parents generation have a marriage of convenience the kids grow up to the parent constantly having a go at one another and then it’s undeniable there are loads single families which people forget to mention are LARGE families like the minimum I have seen was 4 kids with a single mother. How in the world is she going to give them all her attention and affection. They grow up to think it’s normal to shut yourself up. And to keep on being the Ideal farax that at the expense of his mental health has to be a manly man a family provider and when all of that cannot happen because of unemployment and lack of understanding of one another they turn to Khat it makes them feel better and makes them forget all those bottled up emotions. Meanwhile Mama Xalimo is at home feeling unappreciated by her Khat high husband and stressed because of her kids she has to cook clean shop make sure her kids don’t go with Ciyalka Xafadha because she’s living in a ghetto and sometime contrary to the benefits stereotype Xalimo has to work because of the cuts in Benefits from the Government and do you know what kind of job is popular right now with Uk mamas ?

When they come to the western world they’re put in a position that’s lower than the female meaning they have to answer to the women otherwise they will get kicked out of the house since the woman controls everything.

He is made to feel useless by the woman constantly reminding him he ain’t worth nothing and if he doesn’t listen to her then she will kick him out the house.

He hasn’t got no authority over his kids cause his kids constantly see their mother undermining their father so he gets no say in their day to day light therefore unable to discipline them.

It’s due to these circumstances that some men from the older generation turn to khat it’s a sad state of affairs but due to the gynocentric system it has made it even worse now the man is being reduced to being lower than a female so it devastating to his mental well-being.

The mother gets all the benefits and the house and all the support she needs besides there’s contraception and a woman has the final word when it comes to conceiving a child not the father.

There’s a well known Somali saying amongst the females in the diaspora bacda madow banaanka u dhiig meaning put the black bag outside for him as in kick the man out the house.

More time when a woman kicks the man out the house he’s also refused seeing the kids too..

Men have no rights in the West they’re in no position to tell the xalimos anything if they dare they will get kicked out the house and the xalimo will refuse the farax to see their kids.

If a woman wants to have 9 kids that’s her prerogative the father doesn’t have a choice the mother could use contraception or have an abortion while all the father can do is grin and bear it.
