Where did you born?

Hey I will let you know I was top 5 best students in English subjects whole school
 Please Seriously GIF by reactionseditor

I wasn't critiquing your English skills. It would be ironic coming from someone like myself, who've never been to an English speaking country. But I wouldn't be surprised if I actually was better than you, as I excel the language; proficiency- and vocabulary wise. Probably even when it comes to grammar (except when I make occasional typos on this site).

So you are perfectionist nice to know

They way you wrote a gibberish name of some degmo in the middle of nowhere, as if we're supposed to figure out on our own. Bold of you to assume that. :reallymaury:

I can clearly tell that you're a dutchie, or at least from there, but for our resident SSpots with little geography knowledge; it would be appreciated :silanyolaugh:
I moved to the uk but yeah I was born in the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands and it borders Germany

Thanks for the additional information. :salute:

It seems like most, or at least a large share, of Somalis who settled in the Netherlands left for the UK. Even here in Scandinavia, did Somalis relocate for the UK.

Life must be good over there for them to prefer the UK, over Northern and Central Europe. What did my family miss? :hmm:

It definitely was back then not now tho. My parents dod it because there was more of an Islamic environment in the uk and didn't want me to grow up in the Netherlands so they moved there shortly after I was born plus most of the somalis when it comes to Europe were there or planned to move around that time so to them I guess it was the obvious move to make plus better economy (at the time)

I see. I heard the UK economy dipped, ever since the Torries took over. Then add brexit and other factors; it makes sense.

With regard to the Islamic aspect, it’s true. UK is on average more “open” and “accepting” of Muslims than Central Europe. Even the diversity aspect too, since the first large wave of non western immigrants started in the 80s; we are fairly “new” to cadaans here. Hence the different experience between the countries.

Things are now starting to take turn for the worse here as well, so I’m looking for a way out. Maybe we should take over ‘Murcia? :fittytousand:

Oh, Mashallah! Waan kugu raacsanahay. Great aspiration. :rejoice:

The only problem is that I’m from DDS. I don’t have much patience to deal with Ethiopians, who are creating more havoc on our land. My parents home regions ain’t even safe, as we speak.:jcoleno:

Maybe if Somalia prospers, I might consider. :patrice:

Inshallah somalia will you unite one day I'm from both the north (somaliland) and South (Mogadishu to be more specific) and I don't mind settling in either I got family on both sides there and I wanna partake in helping our country get out of its instability. At the end of the day if we don't go back and fix the mess the older generations left then no one else will we can't wait for others to do it we have to do it.

Aad iyo aad. I’ve noticed that Somalis have started given up on the concept of Somaliweyn, and tbh I can’t blame them after intra-Somali fightings for the last 40 years, creating endless animosities in between.

Laakin, my family are still firm believer in Somali unity, in whatever way it may come. Until then, as you’re saying, we need to help out our people, as we are in a more blessed position, to live in peace and have unlimited opportunities. But there’s nothing like home, and iA our people shall also experience prosperity.
