They pretty much speak understandable Somali in Mogadishu and Hargeisa (with some dialect), but where is the center of origin?

Maybe it’s in the north because they have af may which Raxanweyn speak in the south which no one understands?

the north is where all started and moved southwards. theres village near hargeisa called sheikh abdaal, misponounced but people say its ' abgaal'. the ogaden has just moved out from east of Burao region towards the haud, theres lot of names left behind by the clans that moved south.certainly its downward.

It makes more sense that Somali originated up north. The climate up there is dry and harsh, which led early Somalis to migrate down south where it is wetter and the land more fertile and arable.

That’s a damn lie! Why do you trust what a white man says? Somalis are traditionally nomads who lived in dry areas. We either came from Ogaden or from the north no way we came from the jungles

@Apollo said it :gucciwhat: idk if it’s true but why would it be an issue if we originated there? shabelle and jubba looks so beautiful :lawd:

The Somali ethnicity and language originated between the Jubba and Shebelle rivers.
My ass! How come majority of Somalis have the accent that originated in the north. Jubbaland except for Mogadishu have a weird language that’s heavily influenced by Bantus. You funny bro!

Bantus are slaves from Tanzania. They are not native there. Get a grasp of history.

Somalis only started living in northern Somalia after the camel was introduced around 0 AD. Before that, the first ethnic Somalis lived between the Jubba and Shebelle river.

You probably a hawiye or something. We didn’t come from southern Somalia that includes hawiye!

Somalis never lived or came from the jungles you mad. Our culture doesn’t even mention farming or some other shit. We are strictly nomads from the north.
