Syrians don’t give a shit about Somalia. If another civil war broke out in Somalia, Syrians would not care. They would not write think pieces about how great and welcoming Somalis have been to them despite the amount of them living in Mogadishu today. They would not say Syria welcomes Somalis and is a home for us. It’s begging and it’s corny
I saw these posts and cringed, I deeped it a long time ago somalis are just the indians of africa, people have said this but wallahi i think theres merit to it, now.

Indians literally worship white people and fight to take pictures with them in India. Somalis are nothing like that. Somalis just falsely see a sense of brotherhood with communities that don’t give a shit about us and it’s cringe.

its not all somalis writing this but people with their own experiences, even in that tweet you posted theres people replying negatively, begging would be if they were rejected and still proceeded to grovel.
Arabs are writing think pieces on how they don’t want Syria (a shithole) to become like Somalia and Somalis are writing think pieces on how Syrians will always be welcomed in Somalia and that they love them. It is begging.
i think thats misleading, somalis arent writing think pieces, they are tweeting(takes a few seconds) about their personal experiences, some are replying negatively showing there isnt one feeling about syria. you're exaggerating
I saw Syrians in Galkacyo, wonderful and entrepreneurial people, they work at a lot of shops or are medical professionals. Yemenis I don’t like so much, begging bums.

Focus on yourself. If you don’t care about the Syrian cause then that’s on you, wanting others who happen to be randoms to display the same sentiment you do is jobless behavior with all due respect.
By the way, Syrians did the best they could for Somali refugees. I bet there are some on this site who could testify to that and their hospitality.
