I was born and fed in Djibouti. All of the guys in school or below 25 had no taste in Somali music even the girls preferred American/african music. Mostly the badow/reer baadiye ones favored Somali music. It used to come as a total surprise to me when I visit hargeisa during the summer and see so many young guys listening to somali music
